All topics: trading questions and answers
Compare crypto networks, products and market measurements without treating them as guaranteed buying signals. Each short answer links to its written explanation.
1. Understanding the Bitcoin market
Bitcoin basics
What makes Bitcoin different from many other cryptocurrencies?
It has a fixed supply limit of 21 million coins and a defined issuance schedule. That does not prevent large price fluctuations or trading losses.
Bitcoin transactions and mining
How do Bitcoin transactions work?
Secret keys authorise spending. Miners assemble transactions into proposed blocks and perform computational work. Network computers accept only blocks meeting the rules. An exchange account adds the company’s own transfer and withdrawal process.

Bitcoin support and resistance
How does Arapov find a Bitcoin entry?
The course demonstrates reading successive highs, lows and the reaction at a marked area on another market. On BTC, apply those observations to its own selected chart rather than treating a fall as a buying signal. The example does not establish a separate personal Bitcoin entry routine.
Bitcoin futures volume
Why does Arapov examine CME Bitcoin volume?
The available course example does not establish a compulsory personal routine of examining CME Bitcoin volume. These data describe trades in the selected futures contracts, not the entire Bitcoin market. The written analysis here checks the data source and compares recorded activity with price movement and the next reaction.
Halving and trends
Does Arapov buy just because a halving is near?
The available course example does not establish a personal Bitcoin-halving buying rule. Halving reduces new BTC issuance, not existing holdings, and does not guarantee a price increase. A calendar event alone does not satisfy a trade entry condition.
2. BTC issuance and market cycles
Bitcoin halving
What is a Bitcoin halving?
A Bitcoin halving cuts the permitted new BTC subsidy per block in half. It does not halve existing holdings or automatically halve transaction fees. The rule reduces new issuance rather than setting a market price.
Halving and miners
How does a halving affect miners?
It cuts the new-coin subsidy per block. Miners' results also depend on the Bitcoin price, fees, operating costs and network conditions.
Bitcoin market cycles
Does a halving guarantee a new bull market?
No. The library examines historical cycles, but events occurring together do not prove that the same price pattern must repeat.
2024 Bitcoin halving
What changed at the 2024 Bitcoin halving?
At block 840,000, the new-coin subsidy fell from 6.25 BTC to 3.125 BTC per block. Transaction fees are separate from that subsidy. This was a change to the rate of new issuance under the existing protocol rules.
Halving trading myths
Why can trading only on the halving story fail?
The course does not establish a separate personal halving strategy. Its fundamental-analysis section follows learning to read price structure and trading activity. A known issuance event is background information; a calendar alone does not supply an entry condition or an exit plan.
3. Bitcoin-linked fund shares
Bitcoin ETF
What do I own when I buy a Bitcoin ETF?
You own a share in a Bitcoin-linked product through a brokerage account, with rights set by its documents. You do not receive the keys to its Bitcoin or use the product’s holding for a payment from your personal wallet.
Types of Bitcoin funds
How do spot, futures and income-oriented Bitcoin funds differ?
Spot funds hold Bitcoin; futures funds use contracts. Income-oriented strategies may exchange some upside for payments. The fund's structure matters more than its label.
US spot ETF launch
When did US spot Bitcoin ETFs receive approval?
On 10 January 2024, the SEC approved listing and trading of a group of US spot Bitcoin products. This provided another route to a Bitcoin-linked holding through a broker. Approval did not endorse Bitcoin or promise profit.
ETF vs direct Bitcoin
How is a Bitcoin ETF different from holding BTC yourself?
A Bitcoin ETF share gives rights under the product, not BTC in your personal wallet. Holding BTC in your own wallet lets you control that wallet’s keys and make supported network transfers. BTC held by a custodial service does not give you the same direct control.

Bitcoin ETF flows
What do Bitcoin ETF inflows and outflows show?
They usually estimate net share creation or redemption over a period using the source methodology. They are not the same as share turnover or a change in the value of existing holdings. Cash and Bitcoin transfers depend on the product rules. The available course does not establish a separate personal ETF-flow entry method.
ETF creations and redemptions
How are ETF shares linked to the underlying Bitcoin?
Authorised participants, organisations allowed to create and redeem large share baskets, provide the assets or money required by the product. This can bring the share price closer to net asset value, the calculated assets minus liabilities per share, but does not guarantee equality. An ordinary share trade is different from creation.
4. Understanding the Ethereum market
Ethereum vs Bitcoin
How is Ethereum different from Bitcoin?
Ethereum runs application programs as well as recording transfers. Its native coin ETH pays for operations. Bitcoin’s issuance rules set a limit of about 21 million BTC; ETH has no equivalent fixed ceiling and its quantity changes through issuance and destruction.
ETH, gas and staking
What is ETH used for?
ETH pays the fees for network operations. Gas measures the work used; the fee pays for that work. Validators commit ETH to participate in checking and proposing blocks under Proof of Stake. New ETH rewards and the destruction of part of the fees affect supply separately.
Smart contracts
What is a smart contract?
It is code that carries out rules on a blockchain. Bugs or unsafe design can put funds at risk, so automatic execution does not mean the code is safe.
Ethereum chart analysis
How does Arapov analyse ETH?
The course supports a general sequence of reading price areas and recorded activity, then checking the next reaction. It does not establish a separate personal ETH trading routine. For an ETH chart, identify the venue, pair and data units before applying that sequence; a large volume figure does not identify who traded.
ETH/BTC ratio
What does the ETH/BTC ratio show?
ETH/BTC expresses the price of ETH in Bitcoin. A rising ratio means ETH strengthens relative to BTC, even if ETH is falling in dollars. It is not a correlation coefficient or proof of cash moving between the assets. The available course evidence does not establish a private ETH/BTC filter.
Ethereum trading risk
What risks does Arapov consider when trading ETH?
The course teaches permitted money loss, instrument parameters and the quantity that fits the planned protective distance. It does not establish a separate personal ETH risk routine. For an ETH trade, check the spread, available orders and forced-closure conditions; a stop requests an exit but does not guarantee the planned price.
Ethereum Layer 2
Why does Ethereum use Layer 2 networks?
Layer 2 solutions perform some work separately while using Ethereum for specified verification or data publication. Rollups group transactions and submit data or results under their rules. Costs, confirmation, withdrawal and security depend on the particular solution; none is automatically cheaper for every action.
5. The Solana network and SOL
Solana vs Ethereum
How does Solana differ from Ethereum?
Solana keeps executable programs and changing application data in separate accounts, network records with their own addresses. An Ethereum contract has storage associated with its contract account. Compare a particular action, required confirmation and total cost; neither architecture guarantees a higher coin price.
Proof of History
What does Proof of History do on Solana?
Proof of History is a verifiable sequence of calculations that helps establish the order of events. It works alongside agreement on valid transactions, rather than replacing that validation. The available course explanation does not establish a separate personal rule for judging Solana’s technical trade-offs.
SOL fees and staking
What is SOL used for?
SOL pays network processing fees and can be committed to support participation in checking the network. Rewards depend on network and validator rules. More SOL received does not guarantee a dollar profit, and issuance is different from each participant’s reward rate.
Solana chart levels
How does Arapov analyse SOL?
The course teaches a general sequence of reading price areas and recorded activity, then checking the next movement. It does not establish a separate personal SOL trading routine. For a SOL chart, select the venue, pair and product, examine the visible highs and lows, and check what the volume source counts.
SOL volatility
Why might a SOL trade need a different size from a BTC trade?
A different distance between entry and the planned protective exit changes the quantity that fits the same money-loss budget. For SOL and BTC, check the selected instrument’s units and costs before entry. The course supports that sizing sequence, but does not establish a separate personal SOL-versus-BTC sizing rule.
6. XRP, payments and the ledger
XRP payments
What is XRP used for?
XRP can transfer value between XRP Ledger accounts, pay network transaction costs and provide the required balance supporting stored account records. It can also serve as an intermediate asset when exchanging two others, if available offers make that route useful. Not every payment must use that bridge route.
Ripple vs XRP
How are Ripple, XRP and XRP Ledger different?
Ripple is a company, XRP is the native asset and XRP Ledger is the network’s shared transaction record. Buying XRP does not buy a share in Ripple or a claim on its profits.
XRP Ledger validation
How does XRP Ledger work without mining?
Servers called validators agree on records using chosen sets of trusted validators, rather than Bitcoin’s computational mining. Enough overlap between those sets matters. Agreement can stop, so a typical quick transfer is not a guaranteed completion time.
XRP price levels
How does Arapov look at XRP levels?
The course examines price structure and the reaction at a marked area, but does not establish a separate personal XRP strategy. On an XRP chart, choose the venue, pair and product, then examine highs, lows and the current reaction. A round number or volume spike alone does not confirm entry.
XRP regulatory risk
Why does regulatory history matter for XRP?
Legal news can change access to a venue, withdrawal rights or product terms. Check the actual document, jurisdiction, parties and type of transaction. A decision about particular sales does not establish the same rule for every holder, and news alone does not determine price.
7. Bitcoin and the wider crypto market
Bitcoin dominance
What does Bitcoin dominance measure?
Bitcoin dominance is BTC’s percentage share of the cryptocurrency market value measured by a particular data provider. Compare BTC’s estimated value with that provider’s total. The figure is a valuation ratio, not a count of cash transferred into Bitcoin.
Dominance vs price
Can Bitcoin dominance rise while BTC falls?
Yes. Dominance is a relative share, so it can rise if other assets fall more. It is different from whether Bitcoin's own price rises or falls.

Altseason
How does Arapov use dominance to assess altcoins?
The available course does not establish a separate personal dominance routine. Dominance compares estimated market values, while an altcoin-season index checks how many eligible coins outperform BTC over a stated period. Neither guarantees that the selected coin will rise.
Dominance data limits
Can Bitcoin dominance change without a Bitcoin trade?
Yes. Changes in other token values, supply or the data provider's coverage can change the percentage. It is not a direct measure of money flowing into Bitcoin.
Dominance as a filter
Can dominance tell me exactly when to buy?
The available course does not establish a personal BTC.D timing filter. The percentage cannot supply an entry price or invalidate a trade idea. The course first checks highs and lows on the chosen instrument, then the system conditions.
